Post 9 - 'Again'
3/19/16 – by Wade Heineman
To miss someone’s presence
says
they’re a rare and cherished gift.
You know from where they came
and to where they went.
The pain
of their voice without sound,
the vision of their face
without
the power to touch.
These are the absences
that annihilate you now.
Allow them.
Allow them to pass,
then return and pass again,
and return always - when you can.
Look for the coming and going
of Sun, rain,
anything you might love.
Someday, you understand,
they’ll be with you again
without these barriers.
They never left,
but your body
cannot follow now.
