Anyone who pushes a new idea - that will change the way we look at a world - view - will be looked at - as having problems with authority.
Because they must insist up on it.
In my case - not only insist upon the idea - but insist that I came up with this idea - which I did in Fall of 2015.
Once an idea like the big bang theory - or infinite expansion - or general relativity - or the sun is the center of our solar system (rather that the Earth) - is entrenched - people cling to it until you come up with something that undeniably fits the observed reality - better.
I have never had serious problems with the law. My first OWI (2016) being the worst of it - and was too intoxicated to be conscious.
However, I have always resisted accepted knowledge - always questioned it. Everyone that has ever known me - knows I am not afraid to stand alone in my ideals.
All people that are different in some way - must endure being a social outcast. Its not by choice. In fact, I would fit in - in many social circles - if I did not also fit in - in often opposing social circles. For instance, at the library and at a heavy manufacturing facility - such as XL Specialized Trailers. Because I fit in more than one - I fit in - in none.
Anyone with radical ideas such as Einstein, Mozart, Copernicus, Galileo (put under house arrest) - were all social outcasts - at least at first.
And each had to insist upon his unique idea. And Einstein had to insist it was his as well.
